Getting Out and About

Our residents are taken on various outings throughout the week, including for shopping, medical appointments and more. Special occasions like the Nevada County Fair offer an excellent opportunity for some recreation.

Golden Empire Nursing and Rehab owns and maintains 3 top-of-the-line vans, two of which are equipped with a wheelchair lift, which is available for a fee to transport residents to appointments.

Here in Nevada County, we take our fair seriously. Nestled amongst the tall pines, the Nevada County Fairgrounds are some of the most beautiful in the State, and getting out to the fair is a major social event for many.
