To Everyone at Golden Empire,

Thank all of you for the love and care you gave to my mother. It was a long road - We were so blessed my family and I, to have been on it with all of you.

God Bless and Keep You,

Joanne Rhey and Family

Dear Golden Empire Staff,

On behalf of my family I want to thank you for everything you did for my father.  Your entire staff were always so kind and you all took such good care of my dad throughout his stay at Golden Empire.

He was a wonderful man, and he deserved the best when we were not able to care for him at home anymore.  He received that from you, thank you.

Thank you also for making his last days comforting and hospice-like.  That was a tender and special time for our family.

Thank you for all the special care you gave my father.

With warm regards,

Dear Golden Empire,

On behalf of the family of the late Viola Richards, I would like to express our thanks for the wonderful care she received while at Golden Empire.

Everyone was so caring and kind and made sure mother was comfortable and contented as possible.

Thanks to the staff for their caring support over the past year.

To the Staff at Golden Empire Rehab and Nursing Center:

Please accept this floral arrangement in appreciation for showing such kindness and concern for Travio Battista.  Although his stay at Golden Empire was shortened by his passing, our family always felt welcomed by everyone.

After our visits with Tavio, we were comforted in knowing he was in good hands.

Thank you to everyone for all  you did for Tavio.

Sincerely, the family of Tavio Battista

To the Staff,

I had excellent care while I was at Golden Empire and it was greatly appreciated.  I want to thank you for the use of the wheelchair.

I've just gotten to the point being able to get down the steps to my yard without the wheelchair.  It has been a great help.

Thanks again,

Juanita Thompson

Dear Golden Empire,

Thank you for the wonderful care I received while recovering from my injuries over the past two months.  Everyone was so caring, kind and sensitive to my needs the entire time.  I am amazed at what a wonderful staff in the In House Rehabilitation Department.

I am also confident that the rapid improvement I made is due to the help and everyone's attitude; you made a difficult and stressful event be not just tolerable but as pleasant as humanly possible.

Dear Vicki Young and Company,

My Mother was recently discharged after receiving excellent care in a room near Station Two.  I wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the way both my mother and I were treated by staff at Golden Empire.  Without Exception, every staff member I spoke with was very cordial.

The professionals in Physical Therapy gave a lot of time diagnosing my mother's needs, making a home evaluation, explaining my mother's needs and patiently answering all my questions.  I was very impressed and it was very helpful for me to meet with staff during their busy schedules  to discuss my mother's Care Plan.  They took their time to answer all of my mother's and my questions.

I am impressed with the depth of their knowledge, and feel that Golden Empire provides a quality care well in excess of what my mother would  have received elsewhere.

Dear Golden Empire,

My ninety-five year old grandfather, Ed Clark, has been a patient in Golden Empire Convalescent Hospital for over a year now, and, his wife, my grandmother, Flossie was in the same facility.

I have been a nurse for over 25 years.  Golden Empire is doing an exemplary job of caring for our elderly and infirm and should be commended on their performance of this largely thankless job.

We have always felt as though the staff was concerned for the welfare of, not only our family members but the other patients as well.

It is a painful decision, that a family has to make, to put someone in a care facility, but, in our particular case, the decision was made by the family physician and still it was not easy.

But knowing our family members are receiving quality care has certainly been a relief to us.

Thank You,

Betty Clark

Thank you all for being so kind and efficient.  I sing praises to you all -- nurses, PT, ST,  OT, Social Services, front office, all were so kind to mother and I.   Dr. Claydon also and MaryMae.  Hope I didn't forget anyone.  Golden Empire is a well run facility -- I tell all my friends -- no complaints.  The food was good also.

Dear Golden Empire Staff,

We wanted to thank you all for your compassionate and professional care for our brother and uncle Ralph Noack.

Not only for him, but also for the sensitivity and understanding to the family.

To the Staff of Golden Empire,

Marge Caperton, my loving wife of 60 years, has spent the past two years and five months at Golden Empire with several re-visits to the hospital.  During this time she has received outstanding care by a staff of highly-dedicated, professional care givers and nurses that have made her stay "a home away from home.

Each month I have recognized the most outstanding staff member that cared for her, which was very difficult because nearly all of you have been loving, compassionate and dedicated to Marge's well being.

During her stay the severe pressure ulcer she had on admission was finally healed and her appetite partially restored.  We were blessed by having a private room with access to the courtyard with its flowers and wild birds.

She enjoyed our frequent trips in her wheelchair around the facility and occasional drives through the historic Gold Country.

It was my pleasure to have known all of you and I am very grateful for your compassionate and loving care.

Also, I wish to thank those of you who wrote notes and cards of sympathy.

Dear Golden Empire,

Through this letter I wish to express my gratitude to the entire staff of Golden Empire for the wonderful care and loving support that was given to my wife, Doris H. Walker.

For over a year and a half I observed many, many caring deeds carried out by the nurses and aids in Station One, not only for my beloved wife, but also of other residents.  I saw emergencies handled with efficiency and kept at a low profile.  I saw many kisses on a cheek, a pat on the back, kind words spoken with a helping hand.  I saw exchanges of smiles and humor.  I saw my wife and other residents responding, and I know these gestures helped make their life more meaningful.  They were always treated with love, kindness and respect.

During the time Doris was a resident I came in contact with the staff in every department.  Nurses, aides, physical therapy, administrative, food service, laundry, housekeeping, maintenance and social services.  Each was outstanding in their sincere concern and willingness to take care of their residents.

Also, thank you for having the patio.  She did love to be outdoors and we spent many enjoyable hours there.

Doris loved each and every staff member from every department that worked in Station One.  Please convey our appreciation and thanks to all for taking such wonderful care of her.
